Just another Manic Monday!

Whew! What a whirlwind of a day! It seems like we had campers traveling all over the Greater Boston area to experience a vast array of adventures on both land and sea. Groups 3 and 4 went to Waltham Fields Community Farm for the first of two days in which they are becoming more closely acquainted with Mother Nature and her bounty. We also had some of our campers become more closely acquainted with their "sea legs" as they journeyed into Boston for the first of five days learning to sail with Community Boating. We were thrilled to be able to partner with this organization, which seeks to enhance the overall quality of city life for the Boston Community. They willingly offer scholarships to Junior Sailors (age 10-18 years) who are interested in their program, and they excitedly and generously worked with us to get our kids involved. In order to qualify, campers only need submit an application and pass a 75-yard swim test. For those of you who will have campers age 10 or older next summer, it's not too soon to help them prepare for this opportunity by checking out what options exist for swim lessons during the school year! Passing this test can seem daunting, but we want as many campers as possible to be able to experience the wonders of sailing on the Charles!
